Privacy Policy

Last updated August 26, 2026

The short version. This website has no sign-up and no login. We do not sell your information, and we have never sold it. The only things collected are anonymous traffic statistics, and whatever you choose to tell us if you request an audit, email, or book a call.

Who we are

This site is operated by Wolf Bear Media LLC, a video and marketing agency based in Texas, United States. In this policy, "we" means Wolf Bear Media LLC and "the site" means thewolfbear.com.

Questions about anything here go to josh@thewolfbear.com, which reaches Josh directly.

What we collect

Traffic statistics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and which links they click. It records things like the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, the type of device and browser you use, and whether you arrived from a search engine, another site or a direct link. We also record when someone opens our booking calendar or starts an email, so we can tell whether the site is doing its job. None of this identifies you by name.

Server records. Our host keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses. These exist to keep the site running and to defend it against abuse.

What you send us on purpose. If you request a free audit through the form on this site, we receive your name, email address, company and website, and your phone number if you chose to give one. That is the whole of it - the form asks for nothing else, and no hidden field collects anything you cannot see. It is emailed straight to Josh; it is not stored in a database and it is not added to any marketing list.

If you email us or book a call, we receive whatever you put in that message or that booking form. We keep it so we can reply and continue the conversation.

We do not collect payment details on this site and we do not ask for sensitive personal information. The audit form is the only form here, and the fields listed above are everything it asks for.

Who else is involved

These are the third parties this site relies on, and what each one sees.

  • VercelHosts the site. Receives the requests your browser makes, including your IP address.
  • Google AnalyticsTraffic statistics. Sets cookies in your browser and receives the activity described above.
  • Google FontsServes the typeface this site is set in. Your browser requests the font files from Google, which means Google sees your IP address.
  • BookMeNowRuns our booking calendar. If you book a call you leave this site and give your details to them, under their policy rather than ours.
  • Microsoft 365Carries our email. Anything you send to us is stored there.
  • ResendDelivers the audit form to us. What you type into that form passes through them on its way to Josh's inbox.

The videos on this site are served by us, not by YouTube, Vimeo or any other platform, so watching one does not hand your viewing to a third party.

Cookies, and how to refuse them

The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics cookies, used to tell one visit apart from the next. Nothing here requires a cookie to work: refuse them and every page still loads and behaves normally.

You can block them in your browser settings, or install Googles official Analytics opt-out extension, which switches off Analytics on every site you visit rather than just this one. Most browsers also offer a "Do Not Track" setting, and browsers such as Safari, Firefox and Brave block this category of cookie by default.

How long we keep things

Analytics data expires automatically. Event-level records are deleted after two months and user-level records after fourteen months, which are the retention periods set on our Google Analytics property. Aggregate reporting - visitor counts and the like - outlives those records, but by then it is a total rather than anything traceable to a person.

Emails and booking records we keep for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back. If you would like us to delete your correspondence, ask and we will.

Your choices

Whatever state or country you are in, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email josh@thewolfbear.com and we will handle it. We will not charge you for asking and we will not treat you differently for having asked.

Texas residents have specific rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and residents of several other states have comparable rights under their own laws. We apply the same process to everyone rather than checking where you live first.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Children

This site sells marketing services to businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we add anything to this site that collects more than what is described above, we will update this page and change the date at the top. This page is versioned along with the rest of the site, so its history is a matter of record rather than something you have to take on trust.
